Dubai Internet City is located and operates within the jurisdiction of Dubai Development Authority (DDA), an independent government body. The free zone was established in 2000 by a decree and has a distinct legal status in the UAE.DDA develops and implements transparent regulations in accordance with international standards, which ensure that the companies operating in the free zone are able to compete effectively, globally.The laws and regulations that apply to companies operating in the free zone are described clearly on the DDA website.

Once you have registered your company in Dubai Internet City , you may apply for a Dual License under Law No. 13 by visiting Dubai Development Authority, Customer Services Center in Dubai Knowledge Park or Dubai Studio City. Dual license is applicable only for FZ-LLC companies.

Once all the required documents and payments are submitted, it usually takes 7 working days, which can be broken down into two phases:

• First phase: Initial application approval, which takes 4 working days

• Second phase: Issuing the license, which takes 3 working days.

Yes. To ensure a safe and proper working environment, a company can sponsor one employee per 60 sq. ft. of the leased space. In a commercial space, 1 visa is allocated for every 60 sq. ft.

Once you pay the fees/charges and submit all the relevant documentation, the trade licence will be issued to you within 48 hours. Licences and permits are valid for a period of one year and are renewable on an annual basis.

After successfully completing the registration process, you can start your business in Dubai Internet City for a minimum lease term of one year.
